About the FrontISTR User Group
FrontISTR was developed as an open-source structural analysis solver capable of running on environments ranging from Windows and Linux PC clusters to massively parallel supercomputers such as the K computer.
As the research and development project (*) reached a milestone at the end of fiscal year 2012, the General Incorporated Association FrontISTR Commons and the FrontISTR User Group, its user association, were established to promote the use and industrial application of the FrontISTR system (including the REVOCAP_PrePost pre/postprocessor), maintain software assets and analysis data, and improve its functionality.
(*) “Development of a Structural Analysis Solver for Large-Scale Assembly Structures,” one of the themes of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology research and development project “Research and Development of Innovative Simulation Software for Next-Generation IT Infrastructure.”
For New Users
This website is the user association website for FrontISTR, an open-source massively parallel finite element program for nonlinear structural analysis.
FrontISTR can be downloaded from the Download page or from the GitLab repository.
After reviewing the purpose of the association and obtaining a user ID, you can participate in technical exchange meetings and access detailed technical materials, installation guides, and other resources.
